The latest from Benoit Killian, an experimental musician and winemaker in the outer reaches of Burgundy, the Saône valley. Meligoté comes from a single parcel of 2/3 Aligote & 1/3 Melon de Bourgogne, of which the majority are ungrafted.

The grapes are pressed directly and aged in barrel. The Aligoté brings tension and focus, the Melon de Bourgogne bringing roundness and aromatics. Showing plenty of flesh, texture and rounded fruit at the moment, the wine feels fun in its youthful years, but only gain complexity with time. We would recommend laying this one down for a least 6 months.
