La Vigne D'Albert 2024

A blend of familiar grapes varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot & Malbec, but with the obscure Bergerac varietals Fer, PĂ©rigord and Abouriou in the mix too. A wine that showcases all the sumptuous fruit and spice one associates with the region – think red and black cherries, blackberries and ripe plums, a touch of herbaceous spice and a graphite-like minerality.

La Vigne D'Albert is often our go-to recommendation for someone looking for an every-day, fuller bodied red. While it's a wine that certainly has a robust core, you’ll also find a welcome streak of acidity and well-balanced freshness in the mix. A real crowd pleaser that offers great value. It's a house staple.

The grapes come from 60-year old vines grown over limestone soils. Destemmed and macerate for 20 days, with gentle extraction through small pump-overs. The wine is aged in a mixture of stainless steel, old oak barrel and amphora.
