Bright, fluid Grenache, with lifted aromatics of dusty redcurrant, capsicum spice and strawberry liquorice. Slick, glossy texture with compact tannins that become more prominent as they move into the finish. There is something distinctly Gamay-esque at play here; fruit-forward, flora, but with those dusty dry spices and herbal tones that make it so very ArdĂšche.Â
The grapes went through carbonic maceration as whole bunches and were pressed off after four days to mature in steel tanks for ten months before bottling with no additions.
