Magnum bottling! Another delightful new experimental La Vrille cuvée that is sure to pique the interest of those who fell for the bright, juicy charms of Canon d'Achille. Similarly, this is a fluid, weightless red that ripples with pure fruit and works best served from the ice bucket. A blend of Grenache and Syrah, it is big on the red fruits - fresh cherries as well as that soapy, confected quality of sweet shop cherry lips. As the flora-referencing name suggests, there is a lift of violet perfume as its shy aromatics open up.

Made in the infusion style, where de-stemmed berries of Grenache are dropped into the juice of directly-pressed Syrah to ferment, burst and steep over the course of a few days, before pressing off to rest in fibreglass vats for 7 months. The structure of the wine is dialed right back, making for lip-smacking easy drinking. A fantastic chillable red that delivers so much at the price, perfectly suited to this large format as a bottle does not hang around for long!
