A magnum bottling of the second vintage of the Oustric’s latest cuvée to the ranks, which is sure to delight just as much as it did upon its debut. From vines much younger than the other long-established reds of the domaine, it is a recent planting of Cinsault that transmits vigour and youthful energy.

Put through the usual carbo treatment for 10 days as whole bunches, it shows an attractive vivid ruby in the glass and aromas give off those dusty dry spices so typical of the grape. Crackling with a bright, nervy energy, the fruits have a pleasing balance of tart raspberry and plum. There is something iron-rich and bloody at its core and the mineral imprint of the limestone can be felt distinctly in the finish. Reflecting a cooler vintage, a lower finished alcohol keeps things incredibly breezy and bright. A wine we would happily drink forevermore...
