A taste of the superb bang for buck that can be found when fishing around in France’s deepest South: Corbières blanc, a blend of Roussanne and Marsanne, the two local white grapes of the region.

The heat of this Southerly location really translates into the wine, and the grapes can handle it. To start the colour is intensely golden, and it follows the fruit character steers towards full ripeness; apricot, papaya... even banana.

Big recommendation if you’re looking for a white that doesn’t get lost amongst more powerful flavours on the plate.
